Lunar New Year Celebration is the largest and most popular cultural event in Vietnam. It is an occasion to commemorate the cultural heritage, pay homage to ancestors, and pray for peace, health, happiness, and prosperity. As we ring in the Year of the Ox, Vietnamese Student Association is pleased to announce the annual hosting of the Vietnamese Tet Gala. It is the single, most anticipated event for the Vietnamese youth as well as their families. The gala serves as a place where people with the same set of values can go and embrace their cultural heritage, and share it with those who have a different background.
This year’s Lunar New Year Celebration will be held on Febuary 14, 2009 in Driscoll Ballroom located on the University of Denver campus. VSA Lunar New Year Celebration aims to educate students and the public about the Vietnamese culture through traditional dances, fashion shows, songs, and comedy acts. This event allows students to display their talent and creativity through cultural performances. All proceeds raised from the Vietnamese Tet Gala will be donated toward our cause, Save the Children.
Please help support VSA by purchasing tickets and coming to our event!!!! Tickets are only $15.00 per person. For VIP seats ($25.00 per seat) please call Thuy Nguyen 303-847-6527 or Tracy Phan 720-329-7634.
