What is JavaScript?

JavaScript is a programming language that is mostly used in web pages, usually to add features that make the web page more interactive. When JavaScript is included in an HTML file it relies upon the browser to interpret the JavaScript on the client side.  EZregister.com relies on JavaScript to make the site more interactive with the user.

How do I enable JavaScript?

The following instructions describe how to enable JavaScript in your browser. If your browser isn't listed, please consult its online help pages.

Internet Explorer (6.0)

  1. Select Tools from the top menu.
  2. Choose Internet Options.
  3. Click Security.
  4. Click Custom Level.
  5. Scroll down till you see section labeled Scripting.
  6. Under Active Scripting, select Enable and click OK.

Internet Explorer (7.0)

  1. Select Tools > Internet Options.
  2. Click on the Security tab.
  3. Click the Custom Level button.
  4. Scroll down to the Scripting section.
  5. Select Enable for Active Scripting and Scripting of Java Applets.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Select YES if a box appears to confirm.
  8. Click OK. Close window.
  9. Reload page.

Mozilla Firefox (1.0)

  1. Select Tools from the top menu.
  2. Choose Options.
  3. Choose Web Features from the left navigation bar.
  4. Select the checkbox next to Enable JavaScript and click OK.

Mozilla Firefox (2.x)

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. Click Content in the Options list.
  4. Under the Content section, check the box next to Enable JavaScript.
  5. Click the Advanced button to open the Advanced JavaScript Options box.
  6. Check the boxes under Allow scripts to section that you want to allow.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click OK.

Apple Safari (1.0)

  1. Select Safari from the top menu.
  2. Choose Preferences.
  3. Choose Security.
  4. Select the checkbox next to Enable JavaScript.

Please keep in mind that upgrading your browser or installing new security software or security patches may affect your JavaScript settings.


What are Cookies?

Cookies are very small files that store information about a visitor.  A website stores cookies on the visitor's browser so that the website can remember something about the visitor at a later time.  Cookies cannot access or read the files on the visitor's hard drive, or be used as viruses.  They reduce the amount of work that a visitor would ordinarily have to perform, such as repeatedly entering information into form fields.  EZregister.com uses cookies to make the site easier for the user.

Mozilla Firefox (1.0 final release and earlier)

  1. Go to the "Tools" menu. Select "Options". Select the "Privacy" icon in the left panel. Check the box corresponding to "Allow sites to set cookies".
  2. Click "OK" to save changes.
Netscape 7.1/Mozilla 5.0
  1. Select "Preferences" from the Edit menu. Click on the arrow next to "Privacy & Security" in the scrolling window to expand. Under "Privacy & Security", select "Cookies." Select "Enable all cookies".
  2. Click "OK".
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0+
  1. Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu. Click on the "Privacy" tab. Click the "Default" button (or manually slide the bar down to "Medium") under "Settings".
  2. Click "OK".
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x
  1. Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu. Click on the "Security" tab. Click the "Custom Level" button. Scroll down to the "Cookies" section. To enable:
  2. Set "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" to "Enable".
  3. Set "Allow per-session cookies" to "Enable".
  4. Click "OK".
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x
  1. Select "Internet Options" from the View menu. Click on the "Advanced" tab. Scroll down to find "Cookies" within the "Security" section. To enable:
  2. Select "Always accept cookies".
  3. Click "OK".
Netscape Communicator 4.x
  1. Select "Preferences" from the Edit menu. Find the "Cookies" section in the "Advanced" category. To enable:
  2. Select "Accept all cookies" (or "Enable all cookies").
  3. Click "OK".
