Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS)

What is ASLS?

This course addresses the pre-hospital, emergency department, and stroke unit management of patients with acute stroke. Using interactive discussions, hands-on workshops, multimedia and standardized patients, the course includes rapid recognition of five major stroke syndromes and use of a focused neurologic evaluation to identify stroke, its location, severity, and thrombolytic therapy considerations in acute ischemic stroke patients.

This course is offered to Centura employees, rural hospitals, students, and pre-hospital services at no cost.

You will receive a pocket card, and a certificate  of attendance at the class along with 8 CEs issued by University of Miami. There is no pre-work required prior to class. You may optionally purchase a book for $30 at the class.
