The F-4 Phantom II Society is an international group of folks who flew, maintained, supported, photographed, tracked, modeled, or just plain enjoyed the sound of freedom promoted by this premier fighter of the 1960's, 70's, 80's and 90's. Now celebrating over 60 years in action, the F-4 is still flying today in defense of a number of  nations around the world.  Formerly, we held an annual Phantom Conference until 2016.  Our inagural F-4 Phantom II Society Reunion will take place on October 17th and 18th, 2019.
 
This year we are visiting Houston, Texas in advance of the Wings Over Houston Airshow.  This will be a loosely organized gathering and an excuse to all get together and have some fun.  Unlike past events, there is no conference cost to you, however, a $30 payment at registration will cover your tickets for the Lone Star Museum and Space Center Houston.  Transportation will be through car pooling and activities with a cost outside of the museums will be handled yourself.  We have targeted the Hampton Inn & Suites Houston/Clear Lake as a base hotel but you are free to stay where you want and at your own expense.  The purpose of this EZRegister page is for head counting and opening communication among attendees.  The page will close out on October 1st.

Note, by law, all rooms are non-smoking.  In addition, smoking is not allowed within twenty feet of any entrances.

Thursday Oct 17th  

0730-0800 Depart for the Lone Star Flight Museum at Ellington Field. Traffic unknown.   
0900 Doors open early for us (we need to be assembled as a group), 1000L for the public.  The Collings Foundation will have their F-4D Phantom on the ramp for unobstructed photos.  There is also a chance that she will fly!  Cost is $14.95 unless we get a group of 20+ discount (covered by the $30 at registration).  The Collings Foundation will be selling T-shirts.  Christina Olds will be available for photos with the Phantom.
1230-1400 Lunch at the Museum (pizza).  No cost.  Christina Olds will sell and sign her book, Fighter Pilot: The Memoirs of Legendary Ace Robin Olds or one supplied by you.  Available for pre-sale on Amazon.com. 
1530-1700 Free time to remain at the museum or explore Houston.  The Vendor Room will be open at the hotel.
1700 Dinner at a restaurant of your choice. 
1930 Membership briefing for all participants.
1930-2200  Vendor room open.

 Friday Oct 18th

0900 Depart for NASA's Space Center Houston. $15.95 in advance or $17.95 at the door (covered by the $30 at registration).  Doors open at 1000.
1300 Lunch at NASA on your own or depart NASA for lunch and rendezvous at the hotel.
1430 Depart NASA to Hotel
1500-1630 Conversation and presentation with Christina Olds at the Hotel.
1700 Dinner on your own.
1830-2300 Vendor room open.
2400 Reunion Concludes. 

Saturday and Sunday Oct 19 and 20

Wings Over Houston Airshow on your own.  There is a cost to attend as it is a privately funded airshow.  Many packages are available but sign up to be an insider and your tickets will be discounted. www.wingsoverhouston.com

Also, aircraft will be arriving on Thursday and there is an airshow for disabled children on Friday (not open to the public).  Photographers can catch targets of opportunity outside Ellington Field.

Security/Safety/Procedures

The venues are public and our transportation is in small groupings so no specific security instructions are necessary except for common sense and polite behavior.

F-4 Phantom II Society Reunion Registration

You will not be visiting any restricted areas but some personal information is necessary for the registration process. This is a secure website and any information collected will be carefully protected.

There is a "Comments" box where attendees can share with each other our connection to the F-4. Please use this box to enter what you did, and where/with whom, and when you did it.  This will also be useful for communication such as "Will have SUV and 5 spots". 

Your name, state/province and country along with your comment may be shown on a Attendee List on this website. There is an option right after that comment box for you to decline that info being shown. We cannot retroactively change it should you change your mind.

If you click on either of the "register now" buttons on this page you will be given the opportunity to create a personal account with EZregister. Doing so will let you later check the status of your registration, and we think that is a good idea. But, you do not need to do that. You may skip that step and go straight to the registration page. EZregister does not use the personal account for any purposes.  

You may register more than one individual for this event. You will need to know their personal information as indicated above.  When you finish your personal registration look for a link to add additional registrations.  

There is no conference fee but hotel, transportation, food and museums will be at your own expense.

We will close the registration a few days before the Reunion just so we have a good head count and arrange for possible volume discounts at venues.

If anyone has unresolved transportation needs from the airport, please say so in the registration comments section.  Many of us are arriving through the day on Wednesday.

Oct 1st We ask that you register by this date so we can get a good head count.  Registrations close at 5 PM Eastern Standard time.

Always a good idea to bring two forms of Govt issued photo ID but it is not required as in past years.

Houston has two airports.  Hobby to the south and George Bush Intercontinental to the north.  Both airports will have rental cars and ride share programs.  Consult the airport website for available options.
