Title:  Hearing Conservation               Instructor Landon Coleman

 COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

The Hearing Conservation class is designed to give a better understanding of OSHA’s Hearing Conservation standard and what it applies to.  Students will gain insight into the various components of the standard (1910.95) and learn what is required with regards to training, audiometric testing, and the hearing conservation written safety program.  The class will also touch on personal protective equipment and the physiology of the ear.

 COURSE OUTCOMES

As a result of successfully completing this course, the student will be able to:

• List the major elements of the Hearing Conservation Standard


• Discuss the appropriate personal protective equipment for their employees


• Explain training requirements
