Medical Office Safety Webinar: In this fast-paced class, many hazardous topics are discussed to prompt further training in-house that pertains to each practice and office. Think of this class as a Train-the-Trainer rather than a comprehensive class that covers all topics in-depth. A disk is provided with multiple topics for training with PowerPoint presentations, handouts and even some videos. While hazards are identified and the hierarchy of controls discussed, it is the responsibility of each office to decide which controls are most effective for their circumstances. Topics introduced are:
- Bloodborne Pathogens & OPIM
- Needlestick Prevention
- Violence in the Workplace
- Pandemic Preparation
- Office Safety
- Slips Trips and Falls
- Electrical Hazards
- Respiratory Protection and Other PPE
- And more
This training does not meet the requirement for annual BBP training as it is not site specific and does not include the individual practice's Exposure Control Plans and Emergency Action Plans.
