Leafy greens are among the most nutritious foods we can eat. Their list of health benefits is practically endless. They are loaded with fiber, chlorophyll & minerals your body can actually absorb. And many are as high or even higher in protein than animal meats (based on % of calories). Popeye got those big muscles from eating spinach, not beef steak!
In this class, Deb Klungle of Nourished Body will give you the opportunity to taste all those leafy greens you see at the produce market but never buy because (1) you don't know if you'll like them & (2) you have no idea what to do with them anyhow. Sample fresh arugula (not the pre-packaged baby stuff), mustard greens, broccoli rabe (a.k.a. rapini), beet tops & more! You'll also get lots of ideas on how to sneak various greens into your meals (so even your kids will eat them) & tips on deliciously preparing them on their own.
You won't want to miss this one! This is one of Deb's FAVORITE classes!
COST: $12
All foods prepared in this class are raw, vegan & completely free of dairy, egg, gluten, corn, soy, peanuts & tree nuts. The recipes designed for this class are low-glycemic & safe for diabetics & cancer patients.

OUR PHILOSOPHY:
SIMPLE, NUTRITIOUS, DELICIOUS
Our classes teach you how to prepare plant-based dishes, both raw & cooked, that are quick & easy so even busy people with no kitchen experience can make every day. Our recipes also call for ingredients that can be found in any local health food store & most grocery stores. No special ordering of expensive exotic foods required.
We focus on nutrient-dense whole foods that will nourish your body to keep you healthy & give you the energy to get through the day. And we want you to put the best foods available in your body so only organic ingredients are used whenever possible.
But really, it's all about the taste! Eating is an experience that should be enjoyed! We know you won't eat something if you don't like it, no matter how good it is for you. So we make sure our recipes are not just healthy, but satisfying & full of flavor, too.
THERE ARE SO MANY FREE RECIPES ONLINE. WHY TAKE A CLASS?
Yes, you can find plenty of recipes online & videos on YouTube - all for free. But Nourished Body classes are not just about the food; they are about the education. We can teach you more in 1-2 hours than what you might find surfing the internet for an entire day because we have already done the reading & have the experience. A live class provides an opportunity for you to interact with a real person, & ask questions & get practical answers that help you follow a healthy lifestyle every day. We also explain why some things are healthy & others are not. And of course, you also get to try the food to see if you like it before you spend a lot of money on a complicated recipe that calls for ingredients you've never even heard of.
Nourished Body classes are also about community. Attending a class makes you part of a group of like-minded people who are there to support you & your healthy lifestyle. We always have lively discussions about various topics (not always food-related), & many participants share their knowledge & experience so you get to learn from them as well.
