Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS)
What is ASLS?
This course addresses the pre-hospital, emergency department, and stroke unit management of patients with acute stroke. Using interactive discussions, hands-on workshops, multimedia and standardized patients, the course includes rapid recognition of five major stroke syndromes and use of a focused neurologic evaluation to identify stroke, its location, severity, and thrombolytic therapy considerations in acute ischemic stroke patients.
This course is offered to Centura employees at no cost.
For rural hospitals, students, and pre-hospital services there is a $20.00 cost.
For all other providers the cost will be $250.00/student or you can contact the Miller School of Medicine in Miami to arrange for training.

You will receive a pocket card, and a certificate at the class along with 8 CEs. There is no pre-work required prior to class. You may optionally purchase a book for $40 at the class.
