Girls Backcountry Camp at Bell Lake Yurt
Level 2
What- Level 2 Intermediate: All-inclusive, girls-only three-day backcountry camp for intermediate backcountry skiers who have some backcountry ski experience.This camp will include professional instruction and coaching on more technical terrain, avalanche awareness, and touring within the camp's comfort zone. Including:
- Proficient ski touring, including personal knowledge of proper gear usage, uphill techniques, pacing, layering, and route selection
- Continued avalanche awareness education including terrain management and basic companion rescue strategies
- Yurt living! With a warm, cozy basecamp and delicious homestyle menu, Bell Lake Yurt provides a comfortable learning environment deep in the Montana backcountry
- Fun with the girls in a safe, fulfilling environment, where confindent decision-making and teamwork are encouraged
Who this camp is for:
- Girls who are interested in building on and advancing their avalanche saftey, touring, and backcountry skills within their comfort zone
- Girls who can ski a black diamond off piste and/or can ski all mountain terrian
- Girls who feel comfortable being outside hiking and have at least average fitness (we will be skinning at least 3 miles and climbing 3,000 vertical feet per day)
- Girls who have some to more experience with backcountry equipment
- Girls who are comfortable with changing weather conditions
- Girls who are excited to be out in the mountains
When: April 22-24, 2016, 2 nights & 3 days
Location: Tobacco Root Mountains, MT at the Bell Lake Yurt
Ages: 14-18 years old

- Fresh breakfast and dinner homecooked in the cozy Bell Lake Yurt. Lunch included and packed for skiing each day.
