The blending of two postmodern models, solution focused therapy and narrative therapy, equals an extraordinary way of assisting clients to write a new chapter in their lives. Filled with case examples, dialogue, exercises and more, this workshop will show how the narrative therapy model can help therapists identify meaning, values and language that clients bring to therapy and use such in constructing a preferred future. Strategy suggestions for sexual and physical abuse, grief and loss, depression, eating disorders, trauma, anger, ADHD and school issues will be discussed. Through exception gathering, action oriented scaling questions and the miracle question, participants will experience the "blend" in a way that makes sense for themselves and their clients.
This program will feature a live session at 1 pm.
