TUESDAY, MARCH 29 & WEDNESDAY, MARCH 30, 2016
TUESDAY, March 29th: 7pm - 9pm
WEDNESDAY, March 30th: 7pm - 9pm
The SLO Bodhi Path Center is thrilled to announce that Lama Jampa Thaye is returning to SLO for two evenings of teaching.
Some of you will remember him from last April when he provided a clear description of four major Buddhist systems of tenets during a weekend program. This year he will teach a precious lineage prayer that includes meditation instructions.
Precious teachings on the essential key instructions of meditation as practiced in the Kagyu lineage, from the Dorje Chang Thungma.
The Dorje Chang Thungma connects the practitioner to an unbroken lineage of awakened masters in the Kagyu tradition who have, to this day, realized and taught about the enlightened nature of mind. Mind's enlightened nature is embodied in the primordial Buddha, Dorje Chang (Sanskrit, Vajradhara). This prayer also offers a concise presentation of the key instructions for meditation. Through reflection and recitation, this prayer dissolves all difficulties and obstacles in meditation allowing one’s mind to rest easily in the natural state.
Suggested donation:
Single sessions: $30 Member, $40 Non-Member.
Two sessions - e.g. Both Tuesday and Wednesday evening: $50 Member, $60 Non-Member.
Extra support for the program: $70/both nights, $45/night
All fees support the costs of the program.
Participants have the opportunity to make voluntary offerings to Lama Jampa Thaye to support his tireless activities to benefit all sentient beings.
- All are welcome. No one turned away for lack of funds.
- Please consider an additional donation of $5, $15, $100 or more to sustain Bodhi Path San Luis Obispo and its activities.
