Youth workers have special requirements for the type of work, the duration and also exposure to certain hazards. Arizona State Labor Department has launched a new outreach program for employers and schools which focuses on the safety and employment restrictions that apply to workers under the age of 18 years. The employer presentation also includes Arizona minimum wage and labor laws.
This is a joint venture with ADOSH and AZ DOL and will help each employer understand his/her duty to provide work that is safe and a workplace that is free from recognized hazards that could cause injury or death.
