Title:  General Industry Hazard Awareness: Joe Ornelas

 COURSE DESCRIPTION:             

Attendees will gain a better understanding of the types of hazards present in a variety of work places covered under the scope of the CFR 1910 Safety & Health Standards for General Industry.  They will learn hazard recognition terminology, techniques and tips.  Great for employees involved in workplace inspections.

COURSE OUTCOMES 

As a result of successfully completing this course, the student will be able to: 

• Describe the term “Hazard Recognition”.
• List at least 5 different types of work place hazards.
• List at least 7 different types of workplace injury trends.
• Identify several types of machine guarding techniques.
• Describe various worksite analysis tools.
• List different approaches to correcting and controlling workplace hazards.
