Title:  PPE Hazard Assessments  Instructor: Joe Ornelas 

COURSE DESCRIPTION:  

The course is designed to help students understand the various types of PPE  available and the requirements for them in the workplace. They will also gain knowledge about PPE assessment requirements, PPE care and maintenance, and injury awareness. Various forms of PPE will be discussed, including head, hand, eye, respiratory, and foot protection.

 COURSE OUTCOMES

As a result of successfully completing this course, the student will be able to: 

• Students will be able to describe a PPE hazard assessment.
• Students will be able to list at least 4 different type of PPE available.
• Understand potential injury outcomes when PPE is not properly used.
• Discuss care and maintenance practices for PPE equipment.
• Understand when PPE would be required.
• Define “exposure”
