Join us for the NBU Golf Camp! Each Week beginning June 27th thru July 29th, 2016, Three-time Whitney Young Golf City Championship Coach and founder of NBU Athletics, Coach Kevin Snider, teams with Whitney Young High School alum and a Top 25 golfer in the state of Illinois, Omari Whitmore, to bring you NBU Athletics Golf Camp!
Coach Omari Whitmore will provide golfing instruction to kids ages 10 to 16 years of age. Coach Omari is a 2016 graduate of Florida A & M University who has now joined the professional golfing circuit. Each day, athletes will work on the fundamentals of golf including grip, swing, and the elements of stance through driving, putting, and playing nine or eighteen hole courses. Athletes will meet at the Salvation Army located at 825 N. Christiana in Chicago, and travel to different ranges and courses throughout the Chicagoland area.
The camp is offered each week from June 27, 2016 thru July 29, 2016. The camp day is from 9:00am to 2:30pm and the fee is $300 per week. Registration is limited to eight registrants. Each registrant must be between the ages of 10 to16 years of age. Lunch is included in the camp fee. Please click on the following link to register:
NBU Athletics is a year-round program that provides instruction in the fundamentals of the game of basketball to school-aged children through clinics, camps, leagues, travel teams, and personal training. During the school year (September - June), we offer the NBU Skills Clinics which are 90 minute sessions of fundamental basketball instruction which are currently offered in the evenings Monday, Tuesday and Thursday of each week, and on Sunday mornings.
We believe what separates good basketball players from great basketball players is fundamentals and knowledge of the game. At NBU, we teach the 7 fundamentals of basketball including, Shooting, Ball Handling, Rebounding, Passing, Pivoting, Defense, and Basketball IQ in a fun and rewarding evnviroment.
It is our pleasure to work with all students on every level whether they are a beginner or experienced in the game of basketball! At NBU, we group and instruct athletes primarily based on their skill level and not age. This allows students to work with others at the same or similar skill levels, be comforatable yet be challenged to improve their game and skill set. At NBU, it's Nothin' But U workin' on one Fundamental skill at a time to improve your knowledge and execution of the game to be the best you can be!
