THE SIMULATOR
Our F-4J Phantom simulator was manufactured by Link simulator systems for the Navy in 1967. It is undergoing a long term upgrade program for advance flight simulation.
F-4 Phantom jet fighters have been used for various missions by the US military from 1960 to today and are still used in front line service worldwide by six countries. The Blue Angels flew the F-4J from 1969 to 1973 and it is still the fasted fighter operated by the Blue Angels.

An Interactive Educational Experience
This F-4J Phantom simulator was previously operated at the Kansas Aviation Museum in Wichita, Kansas. In 2014 it was removed from the museum and transported to Enid, Oklahoma for a two year overhaul. Following a public debut at the Vance airshow where the public was provided with short 10 minute Discovery flights, September 17th will be your first opportunity to strap to the ejection seat for an extended flight lesson and see what the Mach 2 Phantom can really do.
Ed Link built the worlds first flight simulator in 1929 and today flight simulators are essential tools used by the military and commercial aviation to teach required flying skills.
Our 1967 Link flight simulator is complex and expensive. In 2016 it took three months of hardware interefacing and software coding just to make the altimeter functional. Your 90 minute flight is financially subsidized by the owners, Justin and Nicole Messenger. Justin has been involved with numberous aircraft and simulator restorations for museums and films including the Ronald Regean Presidential Museum and the Tom Cruise movie Knight and Day. Nicole is a private pilot and received flight training from FlyEnid.
Before your flight be sure to also check out and take your photo with the amazing Air Force F-4 Phantom that is parked on static display at the main gate to the Enid Woodring airport.
