 COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

Students will become familiar with the requirements for forklift operations in the workplace as defined in CFR 1910.179 regulations.  In addition students completing this class will be able to take lessons learned to the workplace and provide training for their employers.  

As a result of successfully completing this course, the student will be able to: 

• Discuss and explain forklift requirements as outlined in the CFR 1910 regulations.
• Posses the knowledge to provide forklift training in their respective workplaces.
• Articulate the inspection requirements for forklift operators.
• Identify problems requiring the “shut down” of workplace forklifts.
• Explain the importance of proper forklift operations.
• Explain the effect various loads will have on forklifts and their “center of gravity”
