Welcome to our Kids Cooking Classes! After three successful summers of Culinary Camps, we've decided to add in a big way to our kids culinary programs. Just like our camps and our regular adults classes, we highlight using local and organic ingredients. Our Kids Cooking Classes are meant to be more then your 'cookie-cutter' and "kitchy" cooking school. Chef Alyssa's Kitchen wants to teach the young chefs fantastic dishes! We do kindly request that your child has some experience cooking with a parent in the kitchen before signing up.
Located inside Atherton Mill in South End, all of our young chefs will learn to make real dishes using real ingredients. And hopefully cook them for you at home! This class is designed by very similar to our adult classes but still mix in the wonderful personalized teaching elements from our summer culinary camps. Once we receive all registrants, we will split up the class into 2 smaller groups based upon age. Each young chef will receive a recipe book from the class!
Please let us know about any allergies as soon as possible. Not all allergies can be accomodated, but e-mail or call us to see!

Hi Everyone! My name is Emily Gantt and I'm so excited to be the lead instructor for all of the Culinary Camps from Chef Alyssa's Kitchen. I was born and raised in Rock Hill, SC and graduated culinary school from the Art Institute (same school Chef Alyssa went to!) in 2014. While at Art Institute I was the Salutatorian for my graduation class and won the Culinary Showcase. After graduation, I began working for Boar's Head. In my spare time I am a passionate cake maker and decorator. In 2015, I began working part-time for Chef Alyssa's Kitchen and transitioned to full-time in 2016. I've led all of our kids culinary camps and classes. In 2017, my sweet potato themed dish was part of Sous Terrian featuring sous chefs in Charlotte. It has always been a dream of mine to inspire others to follow their passion and I am so excited for the opportunity to teach at Chef Alyssa's Kitchen. I love children and looking forward to a great class!
