Honolulu, HI 96826
Our keynote speaker will be Jeffrey D. Jones, the author of Facing Decline, Finding Hope: New Possibilities for Faithful Churches. Dr. Jones retired in 2015 as Associate Professor of Ministerial Leadership and Director of Ministry Studies at Andover Newton Theological School, where he taught in the areas of ministerial leadership and congregational life. He also served as a national staff member of the American Baptist Churches, USA, focusing in youth ministry and discipleship.
Join church leaders for a day of networking, learning, and talking story about how congregations can respond to the changes in society and culture. Why isn’t what we used to do working? What can we do?
Old and New Questions (and searching for faithful answers)
- Are things at your church different now?
- Can we afford a pastor?
- How can we be the church without so much of what we have come to expect?
- Why can’t we do church the way our parents and grandparents did?
- Why do renewal efforts fail?
