The park is dedicated to the documentation and communication of the service of all American Veterans from the American Revolution to the present. It will serve as a gathering place for veterans groups to meet and share their experience of past service together and to surrounding Independent School Districts. The showpieces of the park are the Living Walls in honor of veterans past and present and a permanent 80% scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Monument in Washington DC.

Join us for the Legends of Flight, a summer day camp experience for children.

The event will be held at the Woodring Wall of Honor and Veterans Park at Woodring Airport. Throughout the event, the museum’s Education Division will offer many STEM, flight and period specific learning events and activities in the Educational Center, STEM Learning Nodes, and WWII Gallery.

A tour of the Enid airport control tower will let campers see how aircraft navigate the airport. Campers attend ground school for flying and will be able to experience the thrill of an actual T-33 flight simulator and will make F-4 Phantom model planes in the Robert Cummins Museum located in the Educational Center.

The highlight will be the photographic moments in the actual cockpit of a MiG-21 Russian aircraft and the B-26 WWII bomber "Liberty Lady".

The camp, for ages 9-12, will be held from 10-5 pm and will include lunch. Cost of the camp is $30
