IF CAST, THERE IS A PARTICIPATION FEE OF $75 FOR THIS SHOW.
Adults:
Please arrive between 6:30 and 7pm on Monday, March 11th to check in. Adults will first audition with their prepared material individually. They will be seen in the order in which they arrive and check-in. Everyone should prepare one short song in the style of the show no longer than one minute in length. Bring sheet music in the proper key. An accompanist will be provided.
After all the individual auditions are done, there will be a dance call. The dance call is required for all auditioning though some roles do not require dance. There will be time to change to movement clothes if necessary. The dance call will cater to all skill levels- audition even if you think it’ll be a challenge! We are looking for strong dancers, but if someone can act well and is willing to work hard on movement, we’d rather have them than a dancer who can’t act! The dance will be taught as a large group and then will be shown in smaller groups.
Callbacks will be March 13th 6-10pm by invitation only. They will likely only be for lead roles and not for those being considered for featured tracks. Rehearsals for Matilda will likely be from 6pm-10pm three nights per week and Sundays from 12pm-5pm. Adults will not be needed at all rehearsals, but certainly most of them.
