Bucket Brigade Presents:
Summer Theater Camp (for students going into Grades 9-12)
with professional writer/actor/storyteller and all-around-Theater-Doer Jeremiah Gamble!
Who: For students going into Grades 9-12
(with all levels of theater experience)
When: Thursday, August 1st-Saturday, August 3rd
What (time?): 9am-Noon Thursday and Friday, 9am-3pm Saturday (plus 6pm-8pm for Saturday performance)
Where: Art House North, 793 Armstrong Avenue, Saint Paul MN 55102
How (much?): $125 if you register by June 1st. $140 if you register after June 1st.
Students will be exploring elements of theater through on-your-feet-exercises and improv games. They will be challenged and encouraged to freely express themselves, work in an ensemble, and effectively communicate physically and vocally. They will create a short original theater piece that will be performed for a public showcase Saturday evening, August 3rd, 7pm at Art House North.
We don't just "do theater games." We are passionate about creating new work– honestly wrestling with ideas and communicating them thoughtfully and imaginatively through art. We love inspiring students to find their voice and communicate what's in their head and heart.
The theme this year is: “You’re Not Alone” – Do you ever feel like you’re the only one struggling with something? Sometimes do you find it difficult to communicate or connect? Do you ever feel out of place, misunderstood or just downright crazy? Well… you’re not alone. Students will create three original sketches based on the theme, we will compose an original song and develop a short poetic theater piece from their journalled thoughts on the topic.

Registration:
Online registration requires full payment at the time of registration UNLESS you'd rather pay by check, in which case, the full amount of registration is due a maximum of 10 days after you register. A $25 non-refundable deposit is included in the registration fee. If paying by check, please send check payable to Bucket Brigade to 858 Juno Ave, Saint Paul, MN 55102.
Scholarships:
A limited number of scholarships are available. Please email info@bucketbrigadetheater.com to discuss availability and eligibility.
Cancellation Policy:
• For registrations cancelled up to 1 week before the start of class a full refund made by check minus the $25 non-refundable deposit.
• No refund issued for registrations cancelled less than 1 week before the start of class.
• If less than the minimum of 10 students register, then the camp will be cancelled. In which case all who had registered will receive a full refund. (So far, after four summers, we've never had to cancel)
