3 CE Workshop for SW and CCM.  Workshop will cover an overview of Professional Empathy, as it relates to the helping profession. Speaker will discuss stigma, neuroscience of empathy, and aspects of effective reciprocal dialogue. Workshop will teach participants communication skills, the difference between empathy and sympathy, and the importance of self-sustenance within the helping profession. Participants will learn ways to build and manage healthy boundaries, while showing compassion and utilizing effective resources. Speaker will discuss challenges related to developing empathy across populations, as well as giving “too much or too little,” case by case.
