OSHA 10 Hour General Industry: The 10-hour training program is primarily intended for entry level workers and provides an introduction and understanding of the OSHA General Industry Standards and how the standards relate to workplace hazards and controls. All OSHA outreach training is intended to cover an overview of the hazards a worker may encounter in their workplace. Training emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention.
The class is free but the OSHA 10 Hour card will be purchased through UCSD and the cost is $8.50 cash due upon completion of the class. (note: A 50 Cent fee is added to the $8.00 card to cover the shipping and handling fee that UCSD charges for the laminated OSHA 10 Hour card.
