About Jigme Rinpoche's Teaching Program-Guidance Along the Bodhi Path:
As students of the Buddhist path, we study, contemplate, and practice ways for us to make progress on the path to awakening (the bodhi path). We invite you to receive Jigme Rinpoche’s guidance about how we can access some of the most effective approaches and how to apply them. Please enjoy this rare opportunity to hear and directly interact with Jigme Rinpoche, who is home based in France, about his in-depth insights, meant for beginners and advanced practitioners alike.
Short biography of Jigme Rinpoche:
Born in Tibet in 1949, Lama Jigme Rinpoche grew up and received his education with the principal teachers of the Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. The 16th Karmapa named Lama Jigme Rinpoche as his official representative and the spiritual director of Dhagpo Kagyu Ling in France. Ever since, Lama Jigme Rinpoche has filled this role and taught Dharma worldwide, including regularly at Bodhi Path centers. Strengthened by decades of experience in the West, his unique and modern approach renders the Buddha’s millennia-old wisdom accessible and allows students to apply it concretely in daily 21st century life.

Followed by Meditation Retreat Program (August 1-4, 2022):
Approximate Schedule:
Begins Monday afternoon with lightly-planned activity (4:00 pm earliest room check-in if needed), followed by 5:15 pm dinner and first formal session at 7:00 pm
Ends Thursday morning; 12:00 pm latest room check-out; 12:30 pm lunch available
About the retreat program-Meditation as a Transcendent Quality:
Integral to the path to awakening are the Six Paramitas, or perfections, or transcendent qualities. One of the six is meditation. This retreat will offer a mixture of teachings and practice sessions to help us cultivate a deeper familiarity with and understanding of meditation as a transcendent quality. Trinlay Rinpoche will lead these retreat days.
Short biography of Trinlay Rinpoche:
Karma Trinlay Rinpoche, born of French and American parents, is one of the first Westerners to be recognized as a tulku by H.H. the late 16th Karmapa. Karma Trinlay Rinpoche has received all the important transmissions of Buddhism, as well as completed both traditional Buddhist and Western academic studies in the fields of philosophy and history. Fluent in English, French, and Tibetan, Rinpoche maintains a regular teaching schedule at Buddhist Centers worldwide and online, including programs for the Bodhi Path network of centers. Karma Trinlay Rinpoche is a genuine bridge between the East and the West, the traditional and the modern.

4:00 pm earliest room check-in / 5:15 pm dinner / 7:00 pm first formal evening session
If you are flying from afar, you may want to consider flying a day early and booking an extra night at the center. You will want to arrange for this extra night ahead of time. However, also keep in mind that you save hours on the clock when flying from East Coast to West Coast due to the time zone difference, so the extra night may not be needed.
The approximate schedule of the last day of either the Weekend Program (Monday, August 1) or the Retreat Days (Thursday, August 4) is:
Morning last session / 12:00 pm room latest check-out / 12:30 pm lunch available
If you are flying to return to a distant destination, you will be able to leave in the morning of the last day without missing much of the program if necessary.

Please consider your ground transportation options, such as renting a car. Free parking is available on-site. Helpful tips on transportation and directions provided by MMC are published at this link. DO NOT RELY ON GOOGLE MAPS. RELY ON:
