This workshop will provide an overview of the dynamics of domestic violence and highlight the unique nuances of abuse in same sex relationships and couples in which one or both members are transgender or gender non-binary. 

 Participants will learn/understand:

-        The definition of domestic violence, and the types and dynamics of abusive relationships;

-        Ways to identify warnings signs and risk factors;

-        Unique aspects of power and control in GLBTQIA relationships;

-        Ways to help those who are victims/survivors.
