The Hawai‘i Conference United Church of Christ has traditionally held an annual Leaders Event in the Spring to help orient church leaders to the functions of their positions. This year, the Leader’s Event will take a different direction. We know that leadership in the church looks different and in lieu of the customary, will offer a time for our church leaders to come together in conversation.
The goals of our 2022 event are:
1. To understand and to articulate the challenges being faced by our churches in this “post” pandemic era
2. To build relationships amongst the people in our churches through shared conversation
3. To foster inter-church, inter-Conference communication about working toward solutions for our churches and to develop mentoring relationships
4. To impact program planning being developed by the Conference, the Hawaii Conference Foundation and the various Missional Teams
While we will miss being together in-person, sharing ‘ono meals and talking story, we will make the most of this opportunity to “be together” in different ways.
COST: FREE but registration is required.
