On behalf of our co-sponsors at the Kean Foundation, the College of Liberal Arts, the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, the Holocaust Resource Center and the Global Studies program, as part of our new student certification series Communication: Engaging in Difficult Convesations, we'd like to weclome all interested faculty and staff to a workshop on Thurs., 03/24/22 at 3:30 p.m in the STEM Atrium.
Entitled Creating and Facilitating Dialogue Around Difficult Conversations in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, this workshop will be given by Dr. Teresa Nance and Dr. Sheryl Bowen of Villanova University.
By offering this new series for the greater Kean community in concert with our co-sponsors, it's our goal to provide students and faculty alike with the knowledge, training and tools they'll need to feel more confident and prepared to engage in what sometimes can be seen as "difficult conversations."
Please Note: While the DEI Facilitator Certification is only available for students that successfully complete our series, faculty and staff who attend this specifc workshop will be given a Certificate of Participation shortly thereafter.
If you've missed any of our series' previous lectures, you can watch them here: 1) https://youtu.be/ckXu3IKp1nc?t=1085, 2) https://youtu.be/89rZjmzG2OA?t=21, and 3) https://youtu.be/X0NBZ2P2d2w?t=675.
