The Course: How can silent meditation practice help us move the teachings on the awakened mind of lovingkindess from our head to our ever expanding heart? How can we develop so that our every intention and action is infused with altruistic love? Join Dharma Teacher Khaydroup for a heart-centered explanation and exploration of these topics which are central to many schools of Buddhism and especially central to the Bodhi Path curriculum as laid out by the late Shamar Rinpoche.
Teacher: Khaydroup completed two 3 year retreats in France under the guidance of the realized master Gendun Rinpoche. Before that she spent 5 years studying with Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. At the request of Shamar Rinpoche, Khaydroup moved back to the US in 2000 to be the resident teacher of Santa Barbara Bodhi Path Center. During the two years she was here, she helped found both the San Luis Obispo Bodhi Path and West Los Angeles Bodhi Path Centers. The West Los Angeles group moved to Pasadena in 2004 where Khaydroup continues as the resident teacher.

The Santa Barbara Bodhi Path Buddhist Center offers a high quality curriculum of instruction in Buddhist meditation practice and philosophy. The Center was founded in 1997 at the direction of Shamar Rinpoche. Since then, hundreds of students have come to learn and practice in a modern, non-sectarian environment focused on authentic Buddhist teachings taught and practiced by authentic teachers. We are a diverse community of practitioners encompassing all ages and levels of practice. Dawa Tarchin Phillips is the resident teacher, and we regularly host visiting teachers.
