The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) defines workplace violence as “any act or threat of physical violence, harassment, intimidation or other threatening disruptive behavior that occurs at the worksite.” It can range from threats and verbal abuse to physical assaults and homicide. Specific jobs, such as delivery drivers, healthcare professionals, customer service representatives, or law enforcement, can have higher levels of stress, leading to a potential increase in workplace violence.
