This presentation will cover some of the basic pharmacology associated with substance use disorder.  Specifically, data will be presented that demonstrates how addictive substances alter brain dopamine via neurotransmitter receptor interactions. Also, we will look at the Stages of Change created by Prochaska and DiClemente.
