The Office on Mental Health/ Core Service Agency and the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Training Academy are pleased to announce the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) 8-hour Refresher Training Course for Law Enforcement. This training is open to all Harford County Municipalities.
The dates are as follows: Tuesday September 10th and September 20th, 2024 from 0800-1600 hrs.
The course will be held at Bel Air Police Department in their Community Room. This class is for all law enforcement officers who are already CIT Certified. The Refresher Class is a mandatory class for CIT officers to keep them up to date with the CIT International standards. All officers are requested to schedule themselves for one refresher class per year. These two dates are the first of the reboot sessions for the CIT Program. Class size is restricted to approximately 30 spots due to the size of the room.
We are hosting a 40-hour CIT CERTIFCATION CLASS will be November 18th-22nd. The certification class will be for any officer who wishes to become a Crisis Intervention Team officer. Sign up for this class will be upcoming. Please let me know if anyone who might be interested in attending.
