If payment is not paid in full prior to the start of the course, a payment plan can be entered into with a finance charge. All payments with the payment plan are typically due within 8 months of starting the medic program.
Paramedic programs can be stressful and require a large amount of time and energy to complete the requirements of the course. Please take this in to account before registering for our course. We will endeavor to prepare the student with modern teaching techniques and experts in their field to provide insight in their specialty. This will involve 256 hours of lecture, 130 lab hours, 408 clinical hours in the intra hospital setting, and 408 hours in the pre-hospital setting.
The Johnson County Ambulance District Paramedic program has been issued a Letter of Review by the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP). This letter is NOT a CAAHEP accreditation status, it is a status signifying that a program seeking initial accreditation has demonstrated sufficient compliance with the accreditation Standards through the Letter of Review Self Study Report (LSSR) and other documentation. Letter of Review is recognized by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) for eligibility to take the NREMT's Paramedic credentialing examination(s). However, it is NOT a guarantee of eventual accreditation.
