***Day 1 will be at Swan Creek. Day 2 will be determined by ALERRT instructors***
This will be a two-day ALERRT certification course. The first day will be classroom instruction on the following: LE response to Active Shooter incidents, “Stop the Dying,” approaches and entry, interior movements, set ups and entries, and improvised weapons.
The second day will consist of “Stop the Dying” (SIM), ICS walk throughs, and scenarios. There will be a test at the end of the class.
Each Student needs to bring their issued vest, duty belt and if issued an IFAK kit or med kit. Make sure all weapons, magazines, knives, etc. have been removed and stored away prior to safety checks outside the building.
All HCSO personnel may contact the training academy with conflicts.
