Jewel Rosary of a Bodhisattva with Lama Jampa Thaye
Nov 1-2, Saturday & Sunday 10:00AM-2:30PM
In this weekend course, we are honored to welcome special visiting guest Lama Jampa Thaye, who will teach on The Jewel Rosary of a Bodhisattva, an important Mahayana text that offers both inspiration and practical guidance for the bodhisattva path. The Jewel Rosary distills the essence of the bodhisattva’s training—uniting wisdom and compassion—and describes the qualities, practices, and stages of development that lead to awakening for the benefit of all beings. Clear and accessible for those new to Buddhist study, while also offering profound depth for experienced practitioners, this text serves as a concise manual for living with altruistic intention. Lama Jampa will open this treasury of teachings, showing how its timeless message continues to illuminate and support our practice today.
Online and In-Person : Please note that zoom livestreams will be offered and the teacher will be in person. Class zoom link will be sent out Friday night before the course starts. Please sign up in a timely manner so that the volunteers have sufficient time to send you the link before class.
Details: Classes are from 10:00am-2:30pm with an hour lunch break at 12:00. Lunch is not included - there are many places to eat nearby.

The Santa Barbara Bodhi Path Buddhist Center offers a high quality curriculum of instruction in Buddhist meditation practice and philosophy. The Center was founded in 1997 at the direction of Shamar Rinpoche. Since then, hundreds of students have come to learn and practice in a modern, non-sectarian environment focused on authentic Buddhist teachings taught and practiced by authentic teachers. We are a diverse community of practitioners encompassing all ages and levels of practice. Dawa Tarchin Phillips is the resident teacher, and we regularly host visiting teachers.
