ANCHASL Fall Virtual Meeting and CE
The Association of North Carolina Health and Science Libraries (ANCHASL) is holding their Virtual ’25 Fall Meeting and CE class on Tuesday December 2nd from 10:00a-12:00p EST. Taught by UNC Chapel Hill's Nora Burmeister, the topic of the CE will be "Accessible Library Content: Navigating Federal Accessibility Guidelines"
Course description:
Recently, the DOJ released Title II guidance which changes the way that federally supported institutions approach digital accessibility. This session will focus on ways for libraries to proactively ensure that the content they provide to users is compliant with current federal guidelines. Through a structured approach, participants will explore essential laws surrounding accessibility, learn practical strategies for enhancing accessibility of local content, and discuss web content guidelines and best practices to ensure all patrons, regardless of disabilities, can access information.
