Design for Safety in Construction
In this course we will look at methods to identify and evaluate construction site hazards. Then, look at the hierarchy of controls to select the best design feature to either eliminate the hazard or reduce the risk. Studies have shown that a significant percentage of construction injuries and fatalities can be traced back to design issues. Many examples will be presented which pertain to the 29 CFR 1926 regulations.
