Register for the Annual Airlife EMS Conference!
This year's conference is focused on new and recent threats to our communities. With the recent outbreak of new toxicological threats, most notably bath salts, we are honored to have two speakers from two very different backgrounds. Our lead speaker is the renowned Dr. Edward Cetaruk who is an international expert in the field of toxicology who will be speaking on the management of OD's and poisonings, presenting recent cases he has been involved with. Secondly, David Maloney, a CSI with Jefferson County will speak on Drug Awareness, addressing issues faced by the EMS professional.
In light of the recent events in Boston, we have asked Dr. Mark Maertins, the AirLIfe Medical Director, to speak on Blast Injuries. This is a topic he has presented nationally as well as at our conference years ago.
In addition to our airway stations, breakout sessions will be focused this year on the MCI. In the past we have focused on rapid triage. This year we are focusing on the treatment area as we may well be called on to assist in a large MCI where patients are managed in the treatment areas for a longer length of time until transport is available.
As in the past, Friends of AirLife continues to sponsor this conference so we can offer it free of charge to our EMS providers. In addition, Rocky Vista University has graciously allowed the use of their facility free of charge. Lunch is provided.
Donations to Friends are appreciated but not necessary so we can continue to host these valuable education offerings.

The Friends of AIRLIFE Organization is a 501(c)3 non-profit group that was started in 1998 to raise funds and awareness after the fatal helicopter crash and related car accidents in Littleton, CO. donations and funds raised by the AirLife memorial Run/Walk are used for ongoing care and maintenance of the AIRLIFE Memorial Park near the site of the helicopter crash, EMS education, the Jim Ulrich Silver Falcon EMS Award, and charitable assistance to families of EMS professionals who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
