Air Alliance Houston Presents State of the Air 2014
Air Alliance Houston is proud to present State of the Air 2014, our annual networking luncheon and review of air quality in the Houston region.
For the first time ever, State of the Air will be held at Maggiano’s Little Italy. Please join us for food, networking, fundraising, and updates about Houston’s air quality. Our featured speaker this year is the Environmental Protection Agency’s Regional Administrator Ron Curry.
Administrator Curry oversees EPA Region 6, which includes Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. Administrator Curry has more than thirty-six years of management experience in local, state, and federal government, as well as the private sector. His interest in the environment grew during his manufacturing career while marketing products to the South Coast Air Quality District in California. He brings to the EPA a keen understanding of federal environmental regulations’ impacts on business owners and entrepreneurs as well as state and local governments.
This year, State of the Air will also feature a presentation by Air Alliance Houston board member Dr. Brian Tison. Dr. Tison is a physician at the Vital Allergy and Asthma Center in Houston. Dr. Tison is actively involved in the Houston community as an Associate at Rice University. He is a member of the Greater Houston Allergy Society, the Texas Medical Association, the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology, Harris County Medical Society, and the Texas Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society. Currently, he is on staff at Park Plaza Hospital, and Memorial Hermann Hospital Southeast.
Funds raised during the event will benefit Air Alliance Houston, its mission, and its programs.
