Philosophy:
Madhyamika, the Sanskrit term for ‘middle way,’ describes the path between extremes. Nagarjuna elegantly systematized a philosophy of emptiness and a method of reasoning in his famous work, Root Verses On the Middle Way. Professor Lara Braitstein will explore Nagarjuna's madhyamika thought through a close reading of portions of his Root Verses.
